Open Thy Mouth

I came across this scripture during my reading a couple of days ago Psalms 81:10, there was a part of the scripture that jumped out at me and I couldn’t move passed it “open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.” I have been inquiring of the Lord about it and I believe that there is a generation among us that is desiring to open their mouths during this time. Lately I have come across quite a few people young to middle aged that have been to church or are currently going to church and leave unfulfilled and still desiring more, there is a hunger and a thirst for more. Hear me clearly we thank God they are in the church, but it has become a chore more less for many of them and not true training.

Believe it or not there is a people that desire to be trained for action. The book of ACTS was all about action, I believe there is a Voice from Heaven saying where is my book of ACTS Church. I had a vision of small groups of individuals that regularly meet to be trained and be discipled, individuals in the group have questions about who they are and what their purpose is, this is not only within the church but also in everyday life. If the church don’t help them to come up with the answers, society will.

This group don’t want to be preached to but want to be equipped. The scripture referenced above could be viewed as God will provide, as an example a mother bird feeds her babies you would see them in the nest looking to their mother to feed them; mouths wide open. Also those particular words could mean The Lord has an assignment to be fulfilled by someone as mentioned in Isaiah 6 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!" He said, "Go and tell this people: "`Be ever hearing, but never understanding; be ever seeing, but never perceiving. In this scripture the mouth had to be open and used for The LORD’s purpose. I have a strong unction that at this time it is the ladder one. Because we have a need and a short window of time to address that need, God is putting a urgency for more in HIS chosen people. This people don’t look like the average church goer, some are relaxed in mannerism, ex-drug dealers and users, ex-gang members, ex-thieves and also abandoned by parents and society etc, but yet willing and able to be put to work for The MASTER’s use.

I read a article written in 2012 by Carter Conlon I felt part of it was complementary to this post he had written a prayer I want to share it here

“Lord, I need You! I cannot do this unless You fill me with the Holy Spirit. I need Your thoughts, Your words, Your plan and Your power to accomplish it. I want to make a difference in my generation. I am simply unwilling to stand one day at the throne of God with a full notebook from church but an empty basket to bring to You. I want to believe You for the miraculous.”

I would like to make a request to Influential Leaders to ask God how can we do better at reaching the generation that is looking for HIM and not me.

May this generation and the generations to come mouths be wide open so that the LORD can fill it!
